Workshops Tailored to Your Needs

Developing Rigorous Assessments

The demand to develop formative and summative assessments aligned to standards and administered regularly, quarterly or at the end of a unit can be overwhelming. Often, teacher-created assessments do not align to the rigor of the standard thus making the data unreliable. This workshop will equip educational leaders and teachers with the knowledge necessary to develop rigorous assessments that address the complexity of many standardized assessments.

Cultivating a Culturally Relevant Environment

We all possess implicit biases, though few of us are aware of what they are and how they impact our decisions and behavior. The outcome of racially implicit biases can often lead to disproportionalities to educational opportunities such as discipline and special education or representation in the workplace. Once biases are understood, steps can be made to cultivate a culturally relevant environment for all stakeholders. This workshop will provide participants with research-driven strategies and activities proven to invigorate efficacy in the area of culture and diversity while improving achievement and production to the highest levels.

Using Data & Accountability to Drive Instruction

Data analysis is the central component of effective instruction and educational leadership; however, building a culture that develops an authentic connection between instruction, data, and accountability can be intimidating for educators and educational leaders. This workshop exposes participants to research-based practices designed to utilize the data available to educators through simple processes. Participants will move beyond data protocols to discussions that encourage educators to articulate the strengths and weaknesses of students while developing and implementing instructional action plans that truly address the widening achievement gap between student groups.
